Our long

history

2020

CONTINUED Regional Growth

CONTINUED Regional Growth

To support our ongoing expansion and strengthen our self-performance capabilities, LaRiviere Inc. extended operations into the Boise market with our heavy civil and concrete divisions. In 2024, we expanded further by adding the Lewiston region to our portfolio.

2019

Divisional Growth

LaRiviere Inc. reached new milestones in 2019. We added commercial landscape and site concrete divisions, and enhanced our employee benefits to include health insurance and a 401(k) retirement program. We later expanded to include trucking and residential and commercial framing in 2021.

2018

Corporate Office EXPANSION

Corporate Office EXPANSION

In 2018, LaRiviere Inc. purchased land and built a new Corporate Office in Rathdrum, Idaho. This expansion allowed the company to centralize personnel resources, planning efforts, and client relations.

2017

Visible Growth

With new resources—including an equipment maintenance shop and a newly added bridge division—LaRiviere Inc. began competitively bidding and winning larger projects. Key completions included Downtown Spokane’s Riverfront Park Ice Ribbon, Howard Street Bridge restoration (City of Spokane), and Seltice Way revitalization (Coeur d’Alene–Post Falls corridor). This marked the beginning of a new era for LaRiviere Inc.

2016

STRATIGIC Acquisition

After several successful years performing private and public works contracts across North Idaho and Washington, LaRiviere Inc. made the strategic move to purchase Contractors Northwest, Inc. (CNI). This acquisition brought additional resources and expertise, expanding our capacity for large-scale structural construction projects throughout the Inland Northwest and Boise.

2007

Passing the Torch

LaRiviere Inc. traces its roots to T. LaRiviere Equipment & Excavation, founded in 1974 by Tom LaRiviere in Southern California. The company quickly established itself in the heavy civil construction industry. Prioritizing a future for their family, the father-and-son operation relocated to North Idaho. As Owner and President, Tom LaRiviere III envisioned growth to become the premier self-performing heavy civil construction company in the Inland Northwest.
