Regional Growth
In an effort to support the goal of increasing both our growth as well as our self-performance capacity, we expanded into the Boise market with our heavy civil and concrete operations. We took that expansion even further in 2024, when we also added the Lewiston region to our work portfolio.
2019
Divisional Growth
LaRiviere reached new milestones in 2019. In addition to adding commercial landscape and site concrete divisions to our operations, we also enhanced our employee benefits to include health insurance programs and a 401K retirement option. We would later expand our divisions to also include trucking and residential and commercial framing in 2021!
2018
Corporate Office
In 2018, LaRiviere purchased land and built a new Corporate Office in Rathdrum, Idaho. Expansion of our facility would allow the company to centralize personnel resources, planning efforts, and client relations.
2017
Visible Growth
With new company resources in place , including an equipment maintenance shop, and a newly added bridge division, LaRiviere began competitively bidding and winning larger scope projects. LaRiviere’s revenue stream continued to climb as key projects reached completion - Downtown Spokane’s Riverfront Park, Ice Ribbon Skate Park, the restoration of the Howard St. Bridge for the City of Spokane, and the revitalization and beautification of Seltice Way, connecting Coeur D’Alene and Post Falls, Idaho - to name a few. This was the beginning of a new era for LaRiviere, Inc.
2016
Acquisition
After several years successfully performing private and public works contracts in North Idaho and Washington, LaRiviere made the strategic move to purchase Contractors Northwest, Inc. The move brought a wealth of resources and capabilities to Lariviere with CNI's rich history of self-performance and management of large structural construction projects throughout the Inland Northwest and Boise. The dream of being able to self-perform the vast majority of work on our projects was being realized.
2016
Passing the Torch
T. LaRiviere Equipment and Excavation was founded in the 1990's by Tom LaRiviere II in Southern California. The company quickly established themselves in the heavy civil construction industry. In choosing to prioritize a future for their family, the Father and Son operation relocated to North Idaho. As the Owner and President, Tom LaRiviere III had a vision of growth to become the premiere self-performing heavy civil construction company in the Inland Northwest.
