Divisional Growth
LaRiviere, Inc. continues to seek growth across all or of our corporate functions and self-perform operational abilities. In 2019 LaRiviere reached new milestones – revenue approached $60M, we added commercial landscape and site concrete divisions while securing our largest multi-year contracts to date. Our business operations are staying at pace with our field growth, we launched a new ERP project management and accounting system with addition of an employee health insurance program and 401K retirement option.
2018
Addition of a Corporate Office
In 2018 LaRiviere purchased land and built a new Corporate Office in Rathdrum, Idaho near Garwood. LaRiviere’s rapid growth facilitated the need to create a place where the company could centralize our personnel resources, planning efforts, client/partner meetings, and departments such as estimating, modeling/surveying, accounting, payroll, project management and Corporate Officer functions. Thanks to all our employees who self-performed the construction of our beautiful Corporate Office buildings and amenities.
2017
Visible Growth
With new company resources in place - including a full production equipment maintenance shop, and newly added bridge division – LaRiviere began aggressively bidding, winning and negotiating larger, more complex and visible projects with many of our key clients we partner with today. LaRiviere’s revenue stream nears $60M per year completing key projects such as the new Ice Ribbon Skate Park in Downtown Spokane’s Riverfront Park, the revitalization of the Howard St. Bridge for the COS, and the revitalization and beautification of Seltice Way – connecting Coeur D’Alene and Post Falls,
2016
Purchase of Contractor’s Northwest
After spending several years successfully performing public works and private contracts as a prime contractor and subcontractor in North Idaho and Washington, LaRiviere made a strategic move to purchase Contractors Northwest – a local company with a rich history of both self-performance and management of large structural and building construction projects all over the Inland Northwest and Boise. The move brought a wealth of resources and capabilities to LaRiviere. Tom LaRiviere III’s dream of being able to self-perform the vast majority of work on all of our projects was being realized – from mass excavation to structural concrete, to building construction – we could now self-perform it all.
2016
Passing of the torch
T. LaRiviere Equipment and Excavation founded in 1975 by Tom LaRiviere I. Worked and passed to Tom LaRiviere II(Tom Sr., or ‘Senior’) – the company gained a reputation for grading and excavation in Southern California. Looking to the future, the family-owned operation set down in North Idaho and went to work. As a third-generation owner and President, Tom LaRiviere III had a vision of growth….to build the company into one the premiere self-performing construction companies in the Inland Northwest
