Project Superintendent

Project Superintendent - $75,000-$150,000

• Coordinate with P.E. and Project manager job kickoff meeting
• On-site manager of day to day activities of the construction operation
• Have working knowledge of budget
• Work with P.E. on submittals schedule and make sure submittals are accepted before work is performed.
• Works with owner's representative to ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and schedule
• Call all utility locates in and update every 30 days as needed
• Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Provide daily quantities to P.E.
• Work with the Project Engineer to Enter time daily with the proper phase codes
• Work with the Project Engineer to create the month:y and weekly schedule in accordance witr, contract documents
• Monitor and keep track of equipment usage and rental
• Provide quality control on job daily
• Coordinate with all subcontractors, and different crafts as necessary
• Communicate all mobilizations 72hrs in advance
• Communicate all trucking 24hrs in advance
• Communicate all staking and survey 72hrs in advance
• Communicate effectively, and maintain positive working relationship with inspectors
• Schedule all delivery dates for all critical path material and equipment.
• Negotiate contract change orders and develop an effective defense against construction claims
• Resolve field problems expeditiously to minimize delays and claims.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status
• Work with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to plan construction, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedules in accordance with contract documents.
• Supervise field workforce to assure all work is put in place in the most cost-efficient and productive manner
• Responsible for compliance with all OSHA (and state agencies) regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
• Conducts weekly toolbox meetings, perform weekly safety inspections
• Maintain EEO goals
• Performs project close out and ensures punch-list is completed in a timely manner.
• Document all violations, notify project management, and recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
